Our Story
Word Tattoo began in 2025 when I (Cathryn) got tired of searching endlessly for meaningful text tattoo inspiration. After getting my first word inked at 19—”resilience” on my wrist—I fell in love with how simple words can carry so much meaning when they become part of you.
Seven text tattoos later, I decided to create the resource I wished existed: a dedicated space for word tattoo ideas, placement inspiration, and real stories behind meaningful text tattoos.

Hi! I’m Cathryn, the founder and writer behind Word Tattoo. At 25, I’ve developed a passion for the stories we choose to wear on our skin. My background in creative writing helps me appreciate the weight and beauty of words, especially when they’re permanent.
